The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami taking strong notice of statement of Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of National Commission for Minorities (NCM) of trying to assimilate the Sikh existence with Sanatan, has appealed to Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib to take strict action against him as per the Panthic traditions.He said that during an event in Delhi recently, Lalpura has fabricated rhetoric expressed against the principles of Sikh faith and the ideology of the holy Gurbani, which has hurt the uniqueness of the Sikh community and its originality. He said Lalpura has called Sri Guru Nanak Dev, an avatar of Vishnu, which is his mischievous act to please the top leaders of RSS and BJP. Advocate Dhami said that such rhetoric of Lalpura is grossly disrespectful to the ideology of Gurus and the Sikh ommunity, for which strict action should be taken against him.
